How do I view The Hula Must Go On? FAQ

Q: How do I view the show? What channel is the broadcast?
A: View show online through our livestream link. A show link access is being provided to our donors as an expression of our mahalo for the support of our organization. Our current roster of $25+ donors will be sent an e-mail with the show link 2 hours prior to the show.

Q: Is the show happening at 7pm California time or 7pm Hawaii time?
A: The show is being broadcast from San Francisco at 7pm PDT.

Q: How do I donate?
A: Donations can be made 2 ways:

  1. Online at our event page: The Hula Must Go On
  2. Mail check payable to Nā Lei Hulu prior to OCT 1: Nā Lei Hulu, 153 Bradford Street San Francisco, CA 94110-5703

Q: I donated earlier this year. Will I receive the show link?
A: Yes. Supporters who donate(d) $25+ between OCT 1, 2019 - OCT 15, 2020 (or by mail prior to OCT 1, 2020) will receive the show link, IF YOU HAVE AN E-MAIL ADDRESS ON FILE WITH US (see above for more detail).

Q: How do I gift virtual show tickets to my family and friends?
A: For processing simplicity, we request you to encourage your family and friends to directly support our halau with a $25 donation. The show link will be auto-generated to the donation e-mail address.

Q: Can folks view the show from outside the U.S.?
A: The show will be viewable online via the link wherever there is reliable internet service. We will update our website with viewing information as necessary. Please continue to monitor our website for any FAQ updates.

Q: How do I view the post-show reception?
A: VIP $250+ donors will receive a separate link to Kumu Patrick's post-show reception and chat.

Q: How much of my ticket donation is tax deductible?
A: Please check with your tax advisor, as there is not a paid "ticket" or admission price for this year's virtual show. Instead, we are providing complimentary show access to our donors as an expression of our mahalo for their support of our organization. NOTE: The suggested retail value of the following items are NOT tax deductible: certain levels of donors who are receiving a Na Lei Hulu logo sticker (SRV $3) and/or a logo facemask(s) (SRV $10 each), and/or commemorative photo note cards (SRV $25).
